Oversaw all remote special event productions for Spectrum Networks NY1 including the annual Halloween Parade, ticker tape parade productions, Tony Awards Red Carpet show, 2022 New York Gubernatorial debate, and other live political debates throughout NYC. Coordinated NY1’s implementation of remote anchoring kits in the early stages of the COVID19 pandemic using Dejero IP transmitters for transmission. Worked with network partners to transition away from Dejero to LiveU bonded cellular transmission in late 2020 – early 2021. Planned technical and logistical infrastructure for Spectrum Networks’ coverage of the January 2021 Inauguration of President Biden. Oversaw, maintained, and expanded NY1’s network of remote IP weather cameras spread throughout the five boroughs of NYC. Liaised regularly with NY1’s Operations and Editorial teams to offer support and guidance as needed.

Managed NY1’s newsgathering operations to provide 24 hour New York City-focused news coverage available in all five boroughs. Planned and executed specialty news programs such as live coverage of major parades, local elections, multi-camera remote productions, and remote anchor locations. Lead Operations Manager overseeing entire Charter Spectrum Networks staff for the onsite build at the 2016 Democratic National Convention. Lead Operations Manager for Time Warner Cable Newsgroup’s complete coverage of world news events such as Pope Francis’ 2015 visit to three U.S. cities. Managed daily operation of NY1’s newsgathering fleet of four Satellite/Microwave live trucks. Managed 7 truck operators, 5 ENG assistants, and supervised all News Department field crews. Aided the Senior Director of Operations in the annual budgeting for the ENG Department. Increased NY1’s newsgathering efficiency by planning and supervising NY1’s implementation of new technology such as Panasonic P2 cameras and Dejero transmitters. Ensured NY1’s smooth transition to new newsgathering technology—trains newsgathering crews as they acclimate to new equipment and methods. Worked closely with NY1 Noticias, Spectrum’s news channel focused on Latino issues. Continued to execute responsibilities of the Field Operations Supervisor as listed below. Maintained in depth knowledge of existing and evolving newsgathering technologies, including bonded cellular, KU satellite, microwave and RF transmission, Panasonic P2 cameras, and High Definition video.

Responsible for executing NY1 News field operations, including special live coverage of major sporting events. Planned and executed a training program for NY1 newsgathering personnel to include technology familiarization and standardized procedures for remote live shots. Managed the production of NY1’s annual “Halloween Parade Special,” “Tony Awards Red Carpet Special,” “One on 1 at the Intrepid,” and remotely produced political debates, ticker-tape parades, and remote anchor sets overseeing the World Trade Center for NY1’s 9/11 coverage. Trained new hires. Shot high priority stories and travel assignments. Managed the daily oversight of field crews, live trucks, and planned special productions.
