Mike was promoted to Senior IT Manager as part of the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) re-organization in late 2021. He is now leading part of the Execution organization in I&O that focuses on Operating Systems (Linux, Windows, Solaris, & HP-UX), VMware, Oracle Engineered Systems, storage, and compute.

Mike joined Sherwin-Williams' Global Compute Delivery department of Corporate IT as a Lead Analyst. Less than 2 months later, he was promoted to Manager to lead the newly formed Platform Projects team.The focus of the team is to improve processes and drive project excellence from a technical and management perspective that cross multiple platforms. Mike utilizes his Leadership, Enterprise Architect, Business Analyst, and Technical Project Manager experiences in this role.Mike’s involvement with Sherwin-Williams’ growth in the cloud began in early 2019. With the creation of the Cloud Center of Excellence, he was able to use his previous cloud experience to help build the Cloud Enablement team, enable teams in their journey to the cloud, and build the cloud foundation for the organization.

After working with the Cleveland Clinic IT department for years as a consultant, Mike joined the Enterprise Systems and Storage team. His role included enterprise architecture, program management, business analysis, portfolio management, building roadmaps, creating budgets and managing projects.Mike was able to help quickly by leading the Cisco UCS implementation project as both Program Manager and Project Manager with a goal of improving agility and decreasing costs. He has also been the Technical Project Manager on multiple storage projects (one of which won an Excellence Award for teamwork) and a cloud proof of concept project that thrust him into the role of Cloud Advocate.Several Business Analyst responsibilities are part of Mike's activities. These have included analyzing 3rd party support, Citrix virtualization and SLAs. Metrics were already a part of the team, but as Business Analyst for the team, Mike was able to work with the Managers to improve them and build meaningful SLAs. Mike's portfolio management work has included improving time reporting, learning the Clinic's portfolio tool (Workfront), working with the PMO on their future direction, updating projects and tasks so that the tool provides more accurate data.When executives at the Cleveland Clinic decided to create an RFP to outsource IT, Mike was named to the Internal RFP Response team. As part of this team made up of Directors, Managers & other technology leaders, he helped improve the chances of the Cleveland Clinic building an Enterprise IT division instead of being outsourced. Mike's focus on the team is servers, storage and working with the many business IT units, but other contributions have been made in the many services, ITIL and future planning discussions.

After joining the Altus team at Delhaize in Salisbury, North Carolina in late September 2014, I took over leading an important effort to gather service information as part of a cloud analysis project. These details will assist with day-to-day support and long term strategy in the cloud. This work is being led by Delhaize America's Enterprise Architecture team. I completed my 3rd successful project at the Cleveland Clinic in April 2014. The project was the Cleveland Clinic Business Unit Migration Project and my responsibilities were as an IT Architect & Technical Project Manager. The last phase of the project finished with the last move event on April 26th. I then participated in the Cleveland Clinic's DR Test on May 5th. This was the 3rd time I had worked with their DR Team.My 2nd project at the Cleveland Clinic was the Business IT Relocation Project. Major accomplishments included creating separate Detail Plans with 8 Business Units, Migration Checklists with 3 Business Units and assisting the customer with regular status and thorough communication. All 4 move events were successful, done on time and under budget.For my 1st project at the Cleveland Clinic, I worked on the Data Migration Project as a Technical Project Manager with the 3 UNIX Teams and the Oracle DBAs from May 2001 until October 2012. What a great project!Major accomplishments included creating a separate Detail Plan with each of the 3 UNIX Teams and assisting the customer with regular status and thorough communication. All 12 moves were successful, done on time and under budget.

UNIX Systems Administrator, Linux Systems Administrator, Systems Architect for the first 12 months (11/28/2006 - 11/19/2007).Promoted to Team Lead of the Oracle Administration group which is part of the IT Operations department at Diebold. The UNIX Admins were added to the team on 5/1/2008.Promoted to Manager of the Oracle & UNIX Administration group November 2008. Added the Telecom group to my responsibilities in January 2009. The groups were made up of 3 Team Leads, 9 DBAs, 4 UNIX Admins, 9 Network Engineers and 1 Intern located in Ohio. I worked closely with a Team Lead in India who has 6 DBAs and 1 UNIX Admin after temporarily leading the team in India for 6 months.Focused on Production and Releases with the Oracle DBAs from August 2010 until leaving in April 2011.
