As the co-Founder and CEO of AbilityMap, I have been leading a visionary and disruptive venture that aims to revolutionize the way people find work and businesses find people by identifying peoples' natural abilities and preferences and aligning them to the "human" skill needs of a business. The results are better informed hiring decisions, high-impact insights to build stronger teams and people more genuinely enjoying the work they do and, the environment in which they do it. This is my purpose and a big part of who I am.My passion for improving human performance and career satisfaction stems from my experiences in the technology, talent, training, education, and sports arenas, where I have collaborated with amazing individuals and organizations to produce some pretty incredible outcomes. As a serial fixer and grower, I've gotten better at being more comfortable in the uncomfortable and have learned to overcome challenges, seize opportunities and keep growing. My remit was to lead the teams to keep clients engaged while developing tighter business relationships as we went through a capital raise to support expansion of an infant formula divisions into China. China took longer than expected, severely challenging cash flow and company sustainability. This necessitated close work and team building with finance, procurement, planning and production to ensure optimal return on dollar spent over a period of approx. 3 months - what an experience. We made it through, raising capital under an alternate strategy in support of the core comp-med business. The CEO and CFO were very effective as was my team and the leaders I worked with. I walk away with a true appreciation of manufacturing, the intellectual property that goes into taking raw materials to end-product and the always present importance of cash.
