Divorce: Establishment, Modification and Enforcement of Child Custody, Parenting Time; Child Support; Alimony, Property Division and Paternity; Prosecution and Defense of Civil Orders for Protection, and Harassment Restraining Orders; Grand Parent Child Custody and Visitation; Adoption; Parental Child Abduction; Restoration of Drivers License, Passport, etc. due to Non-payment of Child Support, etc.Most of my cases settle through mediation or direct negotiation with opposing counsel or party. Recent and pending changes to child custody and child support laws mean that it can be more realistic for father's to be awarded more parenting time with their children. The new child support laws set to take effect on August 1, 2018 could be an opportunity to have child support reduced depending on existing parenting time and income. I offer free 15 minute telephone consultations to help determine if modifications of parenting time or child support might be within reach - 612-206-3729.My clientele consist of Mothers and Fathers with and without children; Grand parents; victims of domestic abuse or harassment and those who have been subject to an Ex Parte Order For Protection or Harassment Restraining Order. If you are served with such an ex parte order, do not delay contacting an attorney as hearings on these matters take place in a. matter of days. If the party who obtains the order does not request a hearing then the person who is served may request the hearing. Again, there is a limited window of opportunity to request a hearing. If a party does not request a hearing, or attend a scheduled hearing on an Order for Protection it is possible that an Order for Protection could be put into place for a period of 2 years.
