As Product Manager and developer for the Android and Windows versions of the award winning Book Creator app I managed the delivery in conjunction with the Education teams at Google Play and Microsoft. I also developed large parts of both apps.As part of a small remote team I worked with teachers and school kids to understand how digital tools are used in classrooms and the challenges those users face. I developed, built, tested and released the apps into their respective marketplaces, wrote documentation and provided support to users.

The Nokia Music service (Also, Ovi Music, Comes with Music, and MixRadio) had millions of active users and served millions of music streams each week through the website and smartphone apps.My Key achievements as a member of the Product Management team were:Managing the backlog and delivery of the platform that powered MixRadio serving millions of music playlists and streams to Nokia’s Lumia range of Windows Phones.Conducting face to face consumer research in India to develop an onboarding process for mobile only users without email addresses.Coordinating with The Echonest (now part of Spotify) to develop a personalised radio service serving playlists tailored to individual music tastes.Championing the requirements of the teams localising the Nokia Music Service and Comes with Music, and managing the rollout of the service to over 38 countries around the world.My role required me to coordinate and manage work from many teams including the user experience, visual design, software architecture and development teams whilst always considering the needs of the consumer and of the business sponsors.My team developed the MixRadio APIs for delivering pre-programmed and personalised playlists to the mobile clients. MixRadio was the only part of Nokia entertainment division to survive the subsequent Microsoft acquisition and went on to become a standalone app available on Android and iOS.

Working in the Digital Music Retail team I was primarily responsible for championing the localisation requirements for the Nokia Music platform and for managing the rollout of the store fronts to over 38 countriesResponsibilities ranged from representing the geographically dispersed technical teams in discussions at the head office as well as providing a single point of contact for local service managers to deal with technical and merchandising issues.Our team was instrumental in the localisation and deployment of the Nokia Music service across Western Europe, Australia, Singapore, Brazil, Mexico, India and the UAE. I worked closely with the Technical service managers in all of these territories to coordinate the rollout plan.

Managed teams of developers, artists and animators based in our Indian offices to deliver CD-Rom and web based educational multimedia software for UK primary schools.
