SIG Roofing is the largest specialist roofing materials supplier in the UK. 3 month fixed term contract as Interim Branch Manager for SIG Roofing, Huddersfield.• Provide experienced, focussed & confident management leadership.• To identify performance issues/opportunities and create a roadmap to implement changes.• Analyse ways to increase sales through existing and non-traditional means.

Turned a generalist joinery operation into a profitable specialist door manufacturer. Developed and expanded the B2B customer base by over 140% from the in-depth research of prospects through to opening the sales dialogue and, finally, negotiating contracts.100% retention of new and existing B2B clients.Designed & coded the company website; realigned the product base, systems & manufacturing operation to show profitable results over a number of years.

Following the sale of Supply Company to a Moroccan business group, I organised the decommissioning & relocation of the entire UK manufacturing operation.I travelled to Casablanca with my Chief Engineer to install & commission the factory at its new location over a period of 6 weeks. I then worked on a consultancy basis for an agreed time with the new owners and also the UK Distributor whom I appointed before the sale.

I started Supply Company with a business partner in January 1990.The company was a specialist manufacturer of presentation packaging materials for the Garment Industry and a key supplier to Marks & Spencer. My initial responsibilities were for sales & store liaison for the whole of the UK.I built the annual turnover from zero to £400K in year one, £750K in year two and over £1.1m in year three, generating over £2¼ million of sales in 3 financial years from a standing start.With the emphasis still on sales, I took an ever more active part in the general management and direction of the company. Following the acquisition of an overseas supplier, I designed & built power press safety & control systems to meet UK HSE requirements.I continued to grow the sales in both home & export markets and bought-out my business partner in 2002. I sold the company in 2008 at which point the sales were over 75% to markets outside the UK.
