I started my career as a professional salesperson using my experience from the Trane – Graduate Training Program, becoming a solutions provider for commercial building systems. I spent time with multiple organizations selling dozens of different HVAC product lines. While the products came and went, one constant remained- I was turning away customers who needed specialized equipment. As a mechanical engineer, I was irritated with giving up on a theoretically feasible opportunity because of a lack of product availability. Most organizations focus on servicing a large, mainstream market. I decided to move towards helping clients who were having difficulty finding unique and truly custom solutions. Today, the kind of people that approach me are ones who have already tried to take conventional HVAC equipment and adapt it for a specialized situation. A great referral is someone who has experienced short equipment life spans, insufficient performance, and a lack of customization that most manufacturers offer.
