Director of electronic hardware and software design, leading the development of digital motor drives and compressor control systems, including sensorless drives, as well as smart valve controls. Recently developed aerospace power conversion technology targeting fixed and rotary wing launcher systems.The products include JSF utility hydraulic pump controller, LAU 7/127 cryostat seeker cooler pure air generator ECU, and pneumatic weapons ejection pressure generation ECUs for P-8A and SDB racks. These have reached flight qualification status. Under development is smart controller for composite valves in fire fighting service.The products above involve mission and safety critical software, so together with our Quality Engineering Dep't, I led a team to introduce IEEE12207 based software development processes and quality assurance standards to CMMI Level 3.I am responsible for architecture, bid and proposal, staff and budget decisions, as well as tactical project management. This includes all electrical engineering disciplines including power conversion, analog, EMI mitigation, DSP based controls, programmable logic, system engineering and algorithm development.

Continuation of position at Dialogic, where my responsibilies expanded into Computer Telephony/VOIP appliance servers. Also, contributed to development of Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture (ATCA) hardware reference design in a team effort with other Intel Communications business units.

Planned, staffed, budgeted and directed electronics hardware design activities to meet schedules, standards, and cost for new ARM ASIC based computer telephony (CT) VOIP enabled circuit cards and system products. Resulted in release of DI Series computer telephony cards.Managed staff of twelve direct reports and as well as the outsourcing of some design activities. Department built from scratch, including design staff and lab facilities at two locations. Maintained synergy with other Dialogic hardware design groups.Purchased by Intel Corporation in 1999.

Derived system and detail specifications for Data Interface Unit (DIU) for the X33 SSTO program. X33 was potential shuttle replacement by Lockheed-Martin. The DIU is a fault tolerant electronic controller for the all the various systems of the vehicle.
