Working to advance the circular economy in Ontario through knowledge-sharing, events, and advocacy. Keeping our members informed, engaged, and connected with a network of municipal waste and recycling professionals.

Researching, writing, and coordinating an online course on global sustainability trends and sustainable business practices. Course to be published in late 2021.

Compiled the latest academic research, case studies, public policies, and behaviour change interventions to help environmental and public health policymakers improve the reach and impact of their programs.

Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Coordinated the development of the Business Climate Action Toolkit, an online resource hub providing businesses with the information and tools to act on climate change. Led membership development and sponsorship outreach activities, managing a volunteer team, outreach and presentations.

Worked with the marketing committee to conduct attendee interviews, SWOT analyses and desktop research to develop brand-aligned marketing and engagement strategies to support the long-term goals of the festival.

Kitchener, Canada Area

Worked with UW Campus Market Garden to identify organizational challenges, researched best practices through surveys and interviews with other Canadian campus food projects and delivered a report and presentation with strategic recommendations.

Shanghai City, China

Co-produced Hope & Opportunity, a project which interviewed and captured the stories of Shanghai's migrant workers. Researched and wrote Building a Sustainability Network, which reports the business case and steps for growing green corporate cultures. Helped to promote and orchestrate sustainability forums, workshops and an innovation summit.

Brantford

Managed Spring-Buck Park community garden, and organized volunteers and resources. Coordinated the planning, marketing, partnerships, funding, and volunteers for Equal Ground Harvest Fest 2015, a celebration gala for Brantford’s community garden network.

Coordinated the recycling improvement program for multi-residential properties, delivering presentations, marketing materials, and recycling bags to help engage citizens and increase recycling. Conducted weekly waste audits at over 30 properties across the cities to gauge the effectiveness of waste diversion programs and develop a Waste Diversion Ontario funding report.

Kitchener, Canada Area

Led the development and launch of UW campus’ first successful volunteer-run organic waste management service, managing all aspects of marketing, operations and stakeholder engagement. Diverted ~4,000 lbs of compost from the landfill as of December, 2015.

Toronto, Canada Area

Conducted B2B marketing through tradeshows and outbound call campaigns to generate business leads for the saveONenergy Retrofit incentive program. Corresponded with leads and incentive applicants to support energy efficiency projectsMember of GreenSaver Environment Committee, gathering data through waste audits and producing content for the company environmental impact report.
