Created original articles and conduct interviews pertaining to pressing social, ecological and political issues that impact people on the Korean Peninsula. Published in Groove Magazine Korea and The Santiago Times.

Helped create curriculum for Kinder and elementary classes. Taught phonics, reading, conversation and was in charge of organizing and executing monthly field trips. Also had a blast exploring Korea's unique language, culture, geography and delicious food.

Helped build the first four levels of the hotel parkade. Poured concrete and stripped forms while managing temporary day labourers.

I began my internship stuck to a desk for the first couple months after breaking my leg near Machu Picchu a two weeks beforehand. Initial responsibility was translating the day's Spanish-language news into English copy for the ST site. Over next five months, I wrote a number of stories including an explosive interview with a Chilean recruiter at the heart of a UN mercenary inquiry, analysis of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper's visit to Chile and covering the fallout south of the equator from a brawl between Toronto police and the Chilean U-21 men's soccer team.
