Essential member and leader of growing Product Development team. Our charter is to create innovative wireless product lines under our own brand called 'Orbic'.• Instituted new internal and external processes that enabled smooth new product launches. • Established face-to-face connections with US carriers / customers to design amazing products that surpass their requirements. • Built relationships with new ODM partners in Asia and staffed a support local support team to ensure open lines of communications and ensure that our high quality standards are exceeded.

Led cross-functional teams in development and launch of various cell phone handsets / tablets from concept to launch through EMS / ODM / JDM resourcing models. These teams were responsible for 40%+ of cell phones shipped per year. Last 2 products launched were best-selling smart phones for company, providing disruptive value for end consumer.• Led and supervised 13 Mechanical, 32 Electrical and 4 Software Engineers that created Moto G smart phones (1st and 2nd generations).• Established clear metrics for ship acceptance through documenting all technical requirements (electrical, mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, service, and repair) necessary to meet product marketing, customer descriptions and rigorous company shipping quality standards.• Tracked all key indicators that guaranteed success, realizing 20% under budget, on-time, and exceeding all quality goals.• Presented weekly updates and product improvement plans at senior management level meetings that kept all stakeholders current on projects’ status.• Successfully launched and supported 200+ telecom handset / tablet models.• Created platform component roadmaps, innovative designs, and strategic development plans that enabled economies of scale and generational success.

Assembled and led team of 12 engineers to develop several orthopedic / surgical devices. Directed all engineering and operations / manufacturing activities.• Established strong relationships / partnerships with international suppliers and consultants resulting in open communication and efficient negotiations. • Advanced main product line from concept though prototype phases improving functional design and size optimization 200% through 3 generational improvements.• Evaluated several product opportunities from technical implementation perspective through proof-of -concept and business case analyses.• Co-authored FDA 510k application, coordinated submissions and achieved approval on Class I device, Electronic Depth Gauge.
