My intial task is to write technical operating manuals for equipment that was transfered from another closed location. The machinery is a combination of old and new technology. I am tasked to break down the manual into logical sections that describe in detail the machinery operation of the oil filter assembly process. The manuals are meant to assist maintenance and engineering to understand the detailed inner workings of each area of the machines and how it can affect the entire machine operation. Basic understanding of electronics, PRX sensors, and PE senors. Abliltiy to visually observe the machine operation and decifer not only the obvious operation, but the behind the scene "triggers" that allows each step in the process to proceed or stop the machine operation, machine set up steps for each module, and trouble shooting tips.

I worked closely with the Production Development Lab and Production floor to write new technical work instructions. The aircraft generators I was writing for were future production development models that did not adhear to any past or present designs. It was up to me to understand the new assembly process the first time and write instructions to allow for assembly repeatablility as future test units were assembled as well as enable quick modifications to the work instructions as changes were made during the developement process. The lab operators stated that if it were not for my complete and appropriatly detailed work instructions, it would have been very diffcult to learn the new assembly methods.

Due to unfortunite and unforseen circumstances after Kodak filed for Bankruptcy, GSS, a major supplier to Kodak went into self protection mode and laid off workers, which I was unfortunitly one of. I am now in transition and looking for new employment in my field.

Routing creation. Shop floor organization. Bill Of Material Updating. Part Drawing Reading and interpretations (Not all drawings were kept current, had to do some investigation to learn how the part was currently made.) Purchase Raw material for part production. From my own person initive, I was able to complete a project to dispose of old machinery, shop clean up, and shop orginaization. Projects I had planned to take on before the work force reduction was to:1) orgaize the steel raw material and determine a better purchase stratagy that would have included puchasing less material but still make the same amount of parts, form a stores area for raw material to maintain raw material organization, and purchasing raw material in lengths that would be easier to move through the plant. 2) Group like parts to allow for "part families". Then apply an accurate time standard to each part family to allow for the company to understand the true time and cost of production.

Tasked to verify current routings plant wide through Time Studies. Data collected will lead to better product costing, updating and creating work instructions, and process improvments.
