Currently located in Scottsdale, Arizona, Michael Alexander has been a small business owner and operator in the hospitality industry for the past decade. His areas of mastery include in-depth knowledge of business development, operations, management, finance and investor relations. Mr. Alexander currently owns and operates NATIV Hotel, one of the trendiest venues in Lower Downtown Denver, which includes Stereo Lounge, Biergarten Keg & Kitchen and NATIV Café. His venue attracts live performances and cameos from some of the world's top celebrities.Alexander was the Director of operations for Lucid Entertainment from 2003-2010. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing the operations of three of Scottsdale, Arizona’s most sought-after bars and nightclubs, including American Junkie, Pussycat Lounge, and Dirty Pretty. His passion and expertise have led to nine bars and restaurants garnering national and international acclaim, including Baja Junkie in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Pussycat Lounge in Scottsdale; and Nikki’s in Venice Beach, California. In 2010, Mr. Alexander opened the wildly successful Firehouse Bar and Grill in Scottsdale and opened his second Firehouse concept in Tempe AZ in 2012. He also founded and operated Bar University, a comprehensive online program that teaches people how to manage profitable bars, lounges and nightclubs. Alexander is a respected industry leader and winner of numerous awards and recognition for bartending services, menu design and Best Overall Bar(s) in multiple states.This experience has allowed Mr. Alexander to develop a keen understanding of the necessary ingredients for start-up success: from finances and operations to customer service and management. Prior to launching his career as an entrepreneur, Alexander was a personal trainer and Assistant Marketing Director of Rally Sport, a major fitness center in Boulder, Colorado.
