I worked on a research project which explored the application of haptics for enhanced user presence and performance in Virtual Reality. Specifically, I was responsible for creating a haptic prop to mimick a baseball bat. The prop was designed to be configurable by enabling force feedback and/or adding extra weight. I built the wireless microcontroller-driven force feedback system, and integrated it with the Unity-based virtual environment.I was also responsible for running user experiments to gather data for the resulting research paper, of which I was the first author. It was published at the 12th ACM SIGGRAPH Conference on Motion, Interaction and Games in October 2019, and received a distinguished paper award.

June to July 2018:I produced an introductory Python module geared towards students with a strong mathematics and finance background but without any programming experience. The module aims to prepare students for exposure to the field of Computational Finance.September 2018 to January 2019:I later worked to develop two modules with the aim of exposing learners to the use of C# and Microsoft Excel, with a focus on financial programming applications. The first module served as an introduction to C# and object-oriented programming. The second module sought to familiarise learners with Microsoft Excel, and explored the combined use of Excel and C# to develop financial programs.
