I am the manager of the Business Intelligence team for the Pest Division as well as Kay Division and work in Commercial Digital Solutions (CDS). My team works in Azure Cloud with Power BI, Power BI Embedded, Azure Web applications, Azure Analysis Services, ADF, Azure SQL, and many more cloud tools in Azure as well as on premise SSAS, SSRS, SSIS. I manage 2 main Business Objects platforms (8 environments in all) for internal and external customers, a Microstrategy platform, and multiple Microsoft BI platforms. I troubleshoot any issues with the platforms above, provide guidance and advice to developers on all platforms, review upcoming upgrades as well as having a deep understanding on security, data warehousing, performance tuning and architecture as well as assist with vendor negotiations, and open cases on behalf of developers to get them to root cause of their issues. I have assigned many different technologies and been able to adapt quickly and become astute on those platforms. Overall I have a deep understanding of each of these platforms as well as their relative touchpoints (SQL Server, OKTA, Siteminder, Symphony, Salesforce).

I manage 5,300 end users and over 7,000 reports in our Business Objects XIR2 Platform. I provide technical direction to a team of about 5-10 report developers as needed. We work with many Crystal developers offshore working for other areas of the business. I started up a UHG Business Objects Think Tank quarterly user group that involves 8 other Business Objects deployments within UHG alone. I also arranged for a Quarterly meeting to take place with various other large enterprises utilizing Business Objects across the country. I manage over 22 Windows servers and provide strategic direction for the Business Objects platform for the Ovations and Americhoice division. We are slowly becoming the managed service for Business Objects in the company. I am currently working on understanding the strengths of the BI competitors such as Cognos, SAS, Microstrategy, and QlikView. I maintain and upgrade our existing infrastructure and maintain user security, portal upgrades, report upgrades, anything related to content management, server upgrades, Active directory global group updates as well as doing any and all troubleshooting on a variety of topics.

I was a Business Objects Administrator at GMAC RFC as a contractor. I solved some of their most profound issues with Business Objects version 6.5 that they could not figure out for months in Supervisor. I also managed their Crystal 9 Enterprise and was able to configure and tune it so that it ran well while I was there. I helped with their AIX deployment of 6.5 as well, installing and testing patches and software upgrades. I also helped with GMAC's Business Objects XIR2 deployment they were starting.

I provided work direction, administration troubleshooting, upgrade advice and fixed many issues with regards to architecture to better scale their deployments and to help with disaster recovery techniques.
