Since joining the firm Mike has advised employers on a wide array of legal matters including: employee discipline and termination of employment, human rights, occupational health and safety (including workplace violence and harassment), responding to union certification applications and related employer applications, construction industry matters arising under the Labour Relations Act, and complaints under the Employment Standards Act.Mike has serviced clients in both the private and public sectors, and has been legal counsel to a Provincial Ministry where he was responsible for handling legal matters arising in the workplace for clients all throughout Ontario. In this capacity he has not only advised on countless labour relations and employment law matters, but has also successfully represented the Province at arbitration and resolved matters through mediation, all while maintaining a respect for responsible use of taxpayers’ dollars.Mike completed his undergraduate studies at York University where he earned an Honours B.A. and graduated on the Dean’s Honour List and Academic Achievement List. Mike then earned his law degree from the University of Western Ontario.
