As a Master Mariner Consultant, I provide expert advice and guidance to various stakeholders in the maritime industry, such as shipowners, charterers, P&I clubs, maritime attorneys, oil companies, and chemical producers. I have a valid Master's Class 1 unlimited CoC with oil, chemical tanker, and passenger endorsements, and more than 30 years of shore experience in addition to my sea-going command experience.My core competencies include navigation assessments, accident/incident investigation, fleet training, internal ISM/ISPS/MLC auditing, and mentoring. I have a strong passion for people and a keen interest in the role they play in the maritime industry. I practice servant leadership and empower seafarers at all levels, from cadets to captains. I am also a board member of the SATS General Botha Old Boys Association Bursary Fund, where I am a supporter and advocate of young people as they transition from a world of poverty to one of maritime excellence. I am always eager to learn, explore, and contribute to the maritime industry.
