In my role at LSG I was the sole Wintel Engineer for the company. My role encompassed all of the following:General DutiesBuild, configuration and deployment of Windows 2008/2003, XenServer and VMWare servers.Managing the data transfer mechanisms for the business including SFTP, FTPS, and Connect:Direct.Providing 3rd line infrastructure support for the company.Providing system administration for a 500+ server estate across multiple sites.Administration and implementation of the new Siebel 8.1 enterprise.Mentoring and educating Service Desk team members to up-skill them in technical areas such as server administration, Active Directory, and other bespoke and industry standard products.ProjectsInstalled and configured the Siebel 8.1 Production enterprise including Siebel Gateway clustering, performing Dev-to-Prod release processes, system maintenance and performance tuning.Built and configured the new intranet solution from Development to Production which included Microsoft Clustering (MSCS), Windows 2008 R2 operating systems, SQL Server 2008 R2 installation on a cluster node and associated networking.Lead the implementation of virtualisation within the data centre DR site which included P2V conversations, data replication using Double-Take.Implemented SMTP server change from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 R2 including Trend IMSS 7.1 with zero downtime.Created infrastructure for new company Intranet including the creation of both physical and virtual servers utilising clustered shared storage, both SAN attached and DAS.Involved in a complete data centre migration when the company moved sites to a new purpose built premises which included server racking, cabling, kit placement, and decommissioning of equipment.

Lead a team of up to 12 consultants to fill vacancies under a new ‘Employed Consultant’ model as well as a preferred supplier agreement to large blue chip organisations. Utilising an internal database of candidates by using key skills searches and conducting telephone interviews to assess suitability I screened candidates before presenting the best to the client. I managed the workload on a day-to-day basis, managed task prioritisation, oversaw candidate submission quality and acted as liaison between my team, the Account Management Team and the Keele Centre Manager. Attending daily meetings to provide workload overviews and making proactive contact with other teams to offer assistance on niche skill set roles.As part of this role I was seconded after handover of the team to another deputy to an IT based project to develop a new CRM system. This involved technical liaison with head office and attendance at senior management and director level meetings in the London head office on a weekly basis to discuss project progress and ongoing tasks. This was them presented to the management team within Keele by myself to provide project status updates.

Certain aspects of this role are restricted under a non-disclosure agreement. My primary role was as a trader working in real time to buy and sell mobile phones and electrical goods.Prior to takeover I was the Sales and Office Manager for Attic Computers Ltd encompassing a retail store, online presence via www.onlinecomputerstore.co.uk and a B2B support organisation.
