Over the years as I gained my financial knowledge through personal education, mentorship and good old fashion trial and error. My experiences as a business owner, real estate investor and landlord has allowed me to gain a wide-range of knowledge that I’m always looking to pay forward. After working in the corporate world for 10+ years I decided to pursue my passion for personal finance and find a business that aligned well with my family lifestyle and values. In 2009, I become a Licensed Mortgage Broker as I felt I was going to have the greatest opportunity to share my knowledge and have a bigger impact on British Columbian families. After working in the mortgage industry for 6 years, I realize that most families are facing financial challenges that are keeping many middle class working families financially overstressed and overwhelmed. In 2014, I decided to take my passion for personal finance a step further and founded Financial Mastery Academy. At Financial Mastery Academy, I show everyday British Columbians how they can implement simple but practical concepts into their daily life that will help them see the “Light at the End of the Financial Tunnel”. In a matter of months, Financial Mastery Academy has become Canada’s Largest Personal Financial Academy. Marrying my passion as a Mortgage Broker with Financial Mastery Academy has brought a renewed energy to my life as I know I have the ability to help every person I come into contact with change their financial future.

I was lucky enough to be hired by “The Garaventa Lift Group” at minimum wage to do what everyone in the organization considered the worst job: “Buffer”. As a “Buffer” my responsibility was to polish stainless steel tubes for the wheelchair lift assembly. This position was a punishment for most; however, I viewed this as an opportunity to work during the day and go to night school at BCIT to get my Sales & Marketing Degree. Over the next few years, I worked my way through several promotions from a warehouse attendant to inside sales to regional sales manager and finally National Sales Representative for the Evacu-Trac product line. Over the next 7 years I was able to increase the product sales tenfold and was consistently rated as a Top Performer for sales volume and profitability. Although I left The Garaventa Lift Group in 2009, to this day I still remain grateful for the experiences and opportunities they provided me. I know I would not be where I am today without the financial foundation they allowed me to achieve.
