I fulfill diverse set of responsibilities including creating customer requirements and feature specs, preparing marketing materials, architecting global enterprise solutions, leading teams of internal and external contractors, onsite customers training, creating/executing quality assurance plans, deployment readiness plans and customer hand-offs of custom software. The focus of this software is extremely low latency enterprise messaging integration, which mandates meticulous care surrounding performance and scalability. Provided general techical direction, created and maintained web and desktop applications for the Coaching Association of Canada, WaterSki Canada, Alpine Skiing Canada, Water Polo Canada and the Shooting Federation of Canada

Phase 1 was a reverse engineering of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) database application. Requirements were extracted from data entry staff using an existing mainframe application, and a new client-server VB6 application was created to the delight of the CAC using a highly iterative approach. Several firms, including IBM had failed at the task. Phase 2 saw me create and maintain the first web based version of the NCCP, reusing the entire data objects tier from the client server edition, using ASP/VB/SQL server.

Created asynchronous batch processing framework for large upload and report work as well as re factoring a few bodies of code for optimum performance.

YOUCentric created a customizable web app framework, primary focused as a CRM tool. I created POCs for large clients, created a two way synchronization engine between our CRM app and Lotus Notes, the Palm device and MS Outlook. I was promoted to project lead for the core framework team and sat on a committee which defined a RUP-like development process.

Single handedly authored Entrust ICE, a windows desktop encryption package. This application was awarded #1 in secure networks magazine in 1997, and grossed several million dollars.

I created the tech support department from scratch; defining the policies and interactions with other departments and training and entire team as the company grew rapidly. As a developer, I authored Andyne's ODBC interface, which was brand new technology at the time. Later as a senior developer, I trained and led others in this area of Andyne software. Finally, I ported a large and complex library of database and SQL connectors into C++ from their native C.
