I joined Dataminr in 2018 and supported to company as it grew to an industry leader in artificial intelligence that extracted insights from innumerable datasets in real time. Working as part of a cross-functional team, an average day could see me engaging stakeholders on potential projects, using Snowflake to get a deep understanding of events on our platform, leading the response to security incidents in real time, and using my data analysis and data science skills to deliver new features and refine what our product offered clients.

I joined the Daily Mail on its highly competitive graduate program in 2016 as a sub-editor. This role saw me undertaking a range of tasks including writing stories, editing copy written by journalists in our award-winning newsroom, and assisting in publishing of the print and iPad editions of the newspaper. By the time I left the company I was sending latter editions of the newspaper to print multiple times a week. As part of the graduate scheme I spent approximately five months on placement at the London Evening Standard editing news and features stories.

I served as a Digital Content editor at the British Council, producing written and video content as part of the Council’s libraries project in South Asia. This was a short-term contract that involved working from the BC's office in London with colleagues in India and the wider region.
