Working under Volkswagen AG Headquarters in Germany, Volkswagen FS United Kingdom provides finance and insurance services to customers across the entire Volkswagen Group. The group includes some of the most popular automotive brands including Audi, Seat, Skoda, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini and of course Volkswagen. This role presented exposure to working both in finance and the automotive industries.Key Achievements:- Assisted IT migration to new and purpose built VWFS UK Headquarters (Delaware Drive) - 25 million pound investment, with complete architectural refresh of Infrastructure, focusing on creating a future proof solution. Coordinated vacating IT Infrastructure from existing premises on time without extension to existing building lease agreement.- Migrating various systems that had been outsourced to Germany back to UK – Annual cost saving of £300,000 for UK.- Thin Client refresh for VDI, suitable for upcoming Telephony projects. (Avaya Softphone)- Decommission Windows Server 2003’s Servers project, delivered before the extended support deadline of 14 th July 2015 from Microsoft for all machines.- Temporary VWFS office delivered within 28 days – tasked with the temporary relocation of 100 users to premises outside of the VWFS network at short notice due to rapid growth. Solution found and implemented that allowed large numbers of users to access Citrix from remote site with shared printing capabilities.- Privileged Access Management, segregation of access based on duties and job role, removing domain administrator permissions from 1 st and 2 nd line teams within IT.- Maintaining strong technical skill across the Microsoft/Wintel range of technologies. These skill are used on a daily basis on projects from design, implementation, delivery and transition into mainstream support.

Randstad is the second largest HR service provider in the world, operating in 39 countries. During my time at Randstad I completed several major projects within agreed timescales. My greatest achievement during my time at Randstad was the successful delivery of a large migration project which would see all Randstad UK based subsidiaries consolidate onto one IT Infrastructure platform.Key Achievements:- The UK Migration project called for a new Active Directory, Exchange and Desktop environment to migrate3000 users, who originated from 7 different Randstad brands and operating companies. The new infrastructure was created between two data centres, VMWare vSphere 4 was used as the foundation for high availability. Once infrastructure was in place, I designed and then implemented a migration process.Managing four temporary resources during the 6 month migration process. Source environments a mixture of Exchange 2003/2007/2010, along with mixed AD and Citrix environments.- Designing and implementing a Common Desktop Environment based on Windows 2008R2 and delivered by Xenapp 6.5. This includes design, hardware procurement, capacity planning, implementation, testing, release and transition to BAU support.• Supporting and Maintaining the various Active Directory’s for Randstad, two way transitive domain trust’s between 7 operating companies. Ensuring Sites and Services remains up to date and aware of subnets and DC locations throughout data centre relocations.- Incorporated several companies into the Randstad Staffing UK Business before UK merger of all OpCo’s.- Maintaining UK network which had to remain globally compliant for Randstad worldwide.- Introduced Lync 2010 to the organisation from investigation through to implementation.- Ensure effective capacity planning, reporting and monitoring processes are in place to cover all aspects of the Infrastructure.

- Commenced as a Trainee Helpdesk Analyst, promoted after two months to IT Analyst, working on 1st and 2nd Line issues.- Processed and resolved high volumes of support calls from end users both in the UK and US.- Benefitted from huge exposure to many different environments.
