I also help direct communications support for our 180 franchise locations.

Manage the day-to-day operations of an office of over 100 editors and staff members.Oversee the development and execution of print and digital content.Curate content with a multimedia driven mentality; ensure articles have strong visuals including photos, graphics, audio and/or videos.Run the publication’s social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram.)Collaborate with Editor-in-Chief to plan issues' content and topics.Hire, coach and supervise writing and creative staff.Plan and approve assignments for writers and editors.Control schedules and enforce deadlines (for writers, photographers, designers etc.)Oversee proofreading procedures and edit copy when necessary.Engage in recruitment, stakeholder relations, fundraising and strategic planning.

Provide daily coverage of Western Mustangs athletics, focusing on game coverage, breaking news, features and analysis for print and digital mediums.Edit content submitted to me for error.Covered a variety of sports including football, basketball, synchronized swimming, baseball and golf at Western University and in the greater London area.Planned and executed social media content.Hosted and produced podcasts.Named Gazette Editor of the Year and Sportswriter of the Year in 2017-18.
