I'm an Activity Director Specialist with 30+ years experience using music and intentional activity direction to promote health, well-being, and growth in both the prison and non-profit sectors which have included psychiatric facilities. I'm highly skilled at facilitating group music therapy sessions, planning and executing psycho-educational programs, and leading activity therapy teams to ensure that individuals are met with the highest level of customer service and a standard of care that promotes long-term rehabilitation and health. My experience includes working with the mentally ill population of all ages and diagnosis including those elderly with dementia and those with TBI.I am an accomplished musician and have taught percussion for over 25 years. I can also play and teach piano and have skills on the acoustic guitar. I see my teaching not only as a way to instruct but as a way of using music therapeutically.
