In charge of operation, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of all engineering systems onboard the 134ft brigantine sailing vessels during coastal and open ocean passages. Play am active role in education and training of university student crew during semester trips.

Pacific Ocean

Have served as First Officer, Chief Engineer, and relief Captain aboard the Sea Shepherd Research Vessel RV Martin Sheen. Logged nearly 10,000 NM from Costa Rica, the Sea of Cortez in Mexico, the Western Seaboard of the United States, and the Inside Passage of British Columbia, Canada.

Member of the F/A-18 and EA-18G Fleet Support Team supporting both the Navy and Marine Corps fleet as well as the Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) Southwest naval depot. Currently a member of the Mechanical Subsystems, Landing and Arresting Gear Team.Mentor with the NAVAIR Science Enrichment Program (NSEP) since 2010 and the STARBASE 2.0 educational outreach program since 2011. These programs teach elementary school students about STEM principles in everything from simple mechanical systems to ProEngineer 3D modeling software with the hopes of inspiring interest in STEM fields in the future.
