Lead Project Engineer for the software development of an electronic transmission control module (TCM).• Responsible for day-to-day project technical execution and software requirements management of the TCM, including management of an off-site software development team.• Manage project issues and action items as well as generate project schedules, task breakdowns, resource spreads, statements of work, and material estimates.• Conduct technical interchange meetings with development team, vehicle OEM (BAE Systems), and end customer (U. S. Army – TACOM/TARDEC).• Develop and present material in various reviews (PDR, CDR, SRR, TRR) with vehicle OEM and end customer.• Interface with many organizations within the company, including program management, engineering, quality, finance, purchasing, and shipping/receiving.Lead System Engineer integrating the TCM (Xilinx FPGA/Microblaze 32-bit softcore processor) into end vehicle propulsion systems.• Develop and maintain specific test plans to perform design engineering data gathering efforts in addition to final qualification testing.• Perform formal and informal requirements based testing of the TCM in a system integration lab (SIL) as well as end vehicle applications.• Collect and analyze test data to verify functionality and provide traceability to software requirements. Use Vector CANape and CANalyzer tools to monitor and capture data relevant to TCM performance to diagnose/resolve any non-conformance with development team.• Prepare test reports detailing the results for company and end customer management.• Support generation and management of the software technical data package (requirements, design, test plans, test reports, and version description) and responsible for final software and documentation release to the end customer.• Provide engineering and production test SIL support for various propulsion systems. Travel to vehicle OEM and government sites to support vehicle testing/troubleshooting as needed.
