As a digital strategist, I built and managed a multitude of websites based on open source content management systems. Set strategy and direction for several clients to increase traffic growth andAccomplishments:• Built several large community websites based on Content Management Systems:• Each site receives over 8,000 unique visits and near 1,000,000 page views per day • Each site is platformed across multiple Linux servers spread loading data and workload for fast data display, redundancy and fail over • Configured a customer with a very busy website to use Amazon Web Services during peak event times; implemented slave database servers to take SQL workload • Web Services Consultation and Implementation for a multitude of published magazines (Mens Fitness, Muscle & Fitness, Flex, Muscular Development, Fitness RX, Fitness RX for Women and Superhuman). • Laid out a six-step two-year multimedia plan that incorporated a community message board, video and live chat services. • Implemented several successful Search Engine Marketing plans across a multitude of websites to increase site visits, customer conversions and advertisement revenue.

Created a user base from nothing to over 100,000 registered users and an average of 17,000 unique visitors per day. Also created operational process and procedures for independent photographers, videographers, and writers to ensure all media added to the Muscular Development Website met my established standards. Established online marketing tools to create and track advertisement zones and campaigns for payed sponsors.

Accomplishments: • Designed and provisioned secure communications to our UK, Japan and China partners via a combination of VPN and MPLS technology.• Planned, negotiated and built a data center presence in China with firewalls, VPN concentrators and an MPLS connection back to the Chicago Data center: Result is dropped latency from 480ms to 220ms using China Telecom Quality of Service thus by-passing the China Firewall.• Managed the Secure Internet Connectivity network implementation to client premise equipment through their corporate network using SSH and a series of security hand-shakes and data access points all while respecting retail store security and credit card transaction systems ensuring no security gaps were created.

Successfully merged three large ISP networks into one within 14 months post acquisition. Migrated 1,800 circuits and 250 data centers/PoPs from separate carriers onto the Allegiance Telecom infrastructure with zero down time and no impact to customers.

Sunnyvale, California, Us

Managed all aspects of network engineering, capacity planning and provisioning for a Tier 1 ISP. Directed over 40 employees including data center operators, field engineers and network engineers. Negotiated peering agreements with other Tier 1 ISPs. Worked closely with sales and marketing to ensure delivery of products for customers.

Conducted software compliance testing for military simulations. Worked with software developers, the Defense Modeling and Simulation Office (DMSO), the DoD as well as numerous government agencies. Ensured the systems complied with an implementation that allowed disparate Models and Simulations to work with each other through a common architecture.

Led an infantry platoon of 30 Marines as well as a platoon commander in Light Armored Reconnaissance for Middle East deployment. Chosen to serve on the 1st Marine Division Commanding General's staff as an operational planning officer. Assisted in planning Marine deployments for the Los Angeles riots as well as Somalia.
