As part of a new pilot within AHS, we implement a rapid triage model for shoulder and knee pathologies referred to orthopedic surgeons. As an EMA1, I am able to either independently, or along with specialized physicians, assess and triage patients into surgical or non-surgical pathways. For non-surgical patients, my role also includes creating and starting a treatment plan with follow up to ensure effectiveness.

PEAC oversees academic accreditation for all Physiotherapy, Occupation Therapy, and Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistants programs in Canada. Responsibilities include providing strategic leadership and planning, oversight of subcommittees, and oversight of direct financial and business operations of the cooperation.

Elected member of council responsible for oversight and development of policies to protect the public through regulation of the physiotherapy profession.
