Mike is currently CEO of the Palace for Life Foundation, the official community development charity of Crystal Palace FC. He is an experienced CEO, marketing director and fundraiser, specialising in the sport and charity sectors. He was CEO at England Athletics from 2008-10.Mike led Prostate Cancer UK's partnerships with The English Football League and League Managers Association. The partnerships have raised over £2,000,000 to fight prostate cancer. Mike project managed Jeff Stelling's Men United March in 2016, in which the Sky Soccer Saturday presenter walked 10 marathons in 10 days raising over £400,000 for the charity.Previously Mike created and led Save the Children's World Marathon Challenge - which in 2013 saw 50,000 children across 50 countries compete to raise awareness of global hunger.In 2012 Mike project managed "Team PB" - the collaboration between Breast Cancer Care and The Prostate Cancer Charity (now Prostate Cancer UK) for the Virgin London Marathon Charity of the Year. This raised over £1.2 Million for these vital causes. Mike was Chief Executive of England Athletics from 2008-2010. At England Athletics he led a major restructure of the organisation, secured £20 Million in funding from Sport England and launched flagship programmes including the nationwide Run England network and the National Coach Development Programme.Prior to that, Mike was International Marketing Director for IT training and e-Learning specialists Thomson NETg, based in London with satellite offices in Paris, Dusseldorf, Singapore and Sydney. Mike’s skill-set and background includes web and email marketing, social media, sales, sales management, project management and business consultancy, working with senior-level IT and HR executives. He has an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology with a specialisation in marketing, and he is an accomplished communicator and speaker.
