About Mike Vensel

Creative visionary with over 20 years of senior level experience in Creative Direction, Design, Publishing and Engineering. Educated in Architecture and Digital Design with a minor in Fine Art with a wide range of professional experiences spanning the past 30 years. While still in high school I worked as an apprentice to Architect Westley Williams while co founding a competition car audio company with friends. Moving on to college I worked part time in technical support for an international telecommunications company, later leading to a role as an engineer developing solutions for voice and fax communications over the public internet. Moving on I took a role a CTO of a start up company pioneering the use of Voice over IP technology developed for military applications. Moving on to co-found one of the first international telecommunications carriers to route commercial traffic over the public internet utilizing products that I helped develop with Cisco Systems. After much success in engineering and underlying creative tendencies I decided to change careers, jump into the deep end and start my own fashion brand. Not knowing anything about the industry or having any connections at the time I decided to create a Fashion Magazine (Kitten) as a means to network, meet and learn about the industry through photographing, styling, and attending fashion shows around the world. After launching my own brand I created a fashion show platform (Concept) to showcase my work among industry leaders. After creating 20 collections over 10 years, showcasing during New York, Milan and LA Fashion Weeks I decided to take a break from fashion and begin working as a freelance creative consultant with the creation of Sevense.
