Starwood Capital Group is a global private equity real estate group focusing on opportunistic real estate investing through closed end funds. As a result of the firms opportunistic nature the properties being acquired typically required some sort of redevelopment or new construction. My role within the Development/Asset Management division was to oversee the implementation of the business plan for each investment. My primary focus consisted of mixed-use master plan communities and multifamily properties, working on both income producing and ground-up development. While at Starwood I developed an expertise in managing both major renovations of commercial properties and new construction projects.

As a Real Estate Consultant within Ernst & Young's Advisory Practice I worked on a diverse array of engagements, ranging from development feasibility studies to construction risk assessment. While based in Atlanta, GA the group practiced nationally and my exposure spanned all of the major geographical regions of the US and some international markets. While at Ernst & Young I developed the fundamentals required to be a professional and a business leader.
