Justice & Equity Coordinator

Responsible for co-leading all Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Safety (JEDIS) work across Greenpeace Canada with the support of the Deputy Director. Researching and implementing best practices to promote JEDIS principles within our organization for the protection of people and planet.Designing and implementing strategies, programs, and action plans to support organizational development, build a culture of belonging, provide internal employee support, and promote justice and equity in external programs, including the management of employee resource groups Providing consultation and strategic guidance, including resources and tools to senior leadership, management and staff to promote equity-based workplace Collaborating with Human Resources and Integrity Officers to review and expand organizational policies and update processes through a lens of equity, accessibility and Indigenous rights Leading community outreach initiatives and programming for community engagement, including blog writing, organizing volunteer events, sourcing and building educational content on topics such as intersectionality and climate justice Curating, co-developing and adapting education materials including training, templates, modules, and other resources and facilitating roundtable discussions and delivering presentations on anti-black racism, decolonization and Indigenization, and accessibility to support the professional development of adult learners
