C++ Software Developer
CurrentOur department is responsible for creation and filling mandatory reporting to state inspections. A lot of tasks rises surprisingly and are extremely urgent. It forces everyone to work very tight with other employees.I worked both: as an executor of tasks denoted by somebody else, and as a project manager, planning everything from the DB structure to GUI and test plans.Mostly used technologies are C++ and PostgreSQL. I had to become slightly familiar with JS and Python.During last 2 years I had an experience of being:- a tutor for 4 new employees within their probation, which usually lasts approximately 3 months. Two of them were students.- a part of our department code review group. It allows me to teach and to be taught simultaneously.- an urgent project manager where 10 (main) developers were involved. I faced a lot of interesting problems of huge files handling, including memory management.- a responsible developer of a mini-product where I play roles of the back-end developer and the project manager. The main task in this area was the simplification of the GUI.My usual everyday tasks are- C++ code an architecture changes to sustain our product in correspondence to frequently changing lows - sql query analysis and optimization- writing and implementing tech specifications of the new projects
