Building a start-up from the ground up was a challenging but extremely educational process, even if the desired outcome was not achieved. I not only had to manage project development but learn multiple new skills on the fly. I had to become an amateur accountant, lawyer and designer in order to bring our vision to fruition. Despite not achieving a commercial launch, we managed to pass two rounds from an incubator. This experience showed me that starting a business requires the ability to pivot on the fly and go beyond the scope of what you are taught.
