It can take time to figure out what you want to do. Coming out of High School I wanted nothing more than to become a lawyer so I went in to a pre-law program at McMaster University. After four years however, I learned a hard truth about myself which was that I did not really want to practice law, not from a lack of hard work but rather just realizing it was not for me. After switching to a media certificate program at Sheridan I found that I had a serious interest and passion for advertising and marketing and went in to the advertising and marketing management program at Sheridan college HMC. Though I may have spent a large portion of my life in school I learned a lot about hard work and perseverance. These skills were tested and proven when I competed as a member of Sheridan's team at the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition in 2018. Through months of sleepless nights, preparation and work I managed to come in first place in the Sales Presentation event.Outside of being a student, I am a Private (Recruit) in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves. This position keeps me very busy along with my school work but also provides me with skills such as: discipline, good work ethic and strong teamwork capabilities, in a way that can be learned nowhere else.With a long span of differing experiences and educations I plan to enter the business of advertising and marketing with the highly motivated and hard working manner I have accomplished everything else.
