I took over the whole Ekahau Wi-Fi Tools product line management and development after proving my skills as Ekahau Site Survey's Tech Product Manager. Pretty soon after I started I ended up on ramping up a completely new multi-national, very skilled, and highly motivated R&D team. Ever since we have been fully focusing on lean and customer centric product development with fast prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations. The lean development strategy and approach has obviously worked as the Ekahau Site Survey is nowadays clearly the market leader within the Wi-Fi tools market and our customers love our products which has also converted to very high growth in revenue.

Taking my first product from proof-of-concept to an actual deliverable product. Designed and productized Ekahau Location Beacon high accuracy RTLS solution providing 100% level room- and bed-level location accuracy. In addition, I productized and managed the Ekahau Wi-Fi Sensor products which are used for wireless temperature and humidity monitoring in hospitals. Besides managing the Location Beacons and Sensor Solutions, I also acted as a Technical Product Manager for Ekahau Site Survey planning and managing the R&D project activities.

After graduation I continued at Ekahau as Junior Product Manager being responsible for all product documentation, sales & market analysis, and lots of other random stuff. Being "junior" I also got into System Administrating our Salesforce.com which I totally aced! This has ever since helped me to efficiently analyse our marketing efforts and sales figures. I also drove Salesforce.com being used throughout the whole organization from technical support to sales operations and finance. We even started using Financialforce.com for bookkeeping and invoicing within our Salesforce.com. "You have an issue with Salesforce? - No worries, I will handle it in no time!"

The job benefits were awesome when I started my career at Ekahau as a Technical Support Engineer... mostly because I was still studying. This was the perfect part time job as a Wi-Fi and RTLS problem solver which eventually helped me to better understand customers' needs and behaviour. And because of this job, I have been involved in designing and troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks almost since the beginning of the technology.

My first real job at Welho which I joined right after getting out of serving the Finnish military. I spent the first and a half year as a full time employee at the Welho (ex-HTV) store handing out thousands of Cable Modems during the evolution of fixed high speed broadband internet connections. Later on when I started my studies at the Helsinki University of Technology, I worked as a part time worker at the Welho call center and technical support - "How may I serve you...?"
