Junior Backend Developer
Scramjet introduced me to how a Scrum team works in a real life setting. I learned how to handle tasks and work with others effectively in a fully Remote setting, along with how Sprints & planning works, and how to properly express feedback during retros. From the technical side - aside from Python, JS/TS, I gained experience with Kubernetes and Docker, used ArgoCD to view logs/events from workspaces, worked across prod, dev, and stage environments. I also learned about serverless computing architecture and FaaS, IaaS and of course TaaS. Responsibilities included:- implemented new features in collaboration with senior developers,- set up both GitHub Actions and BDD tests for the Scramjet Python API client using 'behave',- wrote various Sequences (analogous to lambda functions) for testing the Scramjet Cloud Platform/STH in product demonstrations and client projects (examples include Telegram and Discord APIs)- debugging Runners/Sequences running live on Docker and Kubernetes pods,- variety of bug fixes and improvements.Programming team (myself included) had to be laid off in May 2024 because the solution (SCP and STH) had been already finished & delivered and is now waiting for investors to close off the deals.
