The Boston Medical Center’s (BMC) Department of Psychiatry and the Liberia College of Physicians and Surgeons (LCPS) began a joint collaboration (2016) with the goal of expanding Liberia’s capacity to provide specialized psychiatric care. The Nurses’ Health Study, the Nurses’ Health Study II, and the Nurses’ Health Study 3 are among the largest studies examining the risk factors for major chronic diseases in women. This project included data from the Nurses’ Health study 3 administered monthly to over 100,000 participants examining the impacts of dietary patterns, lifestyle, environment, and nursing occupation on men and women, most recently in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.Developed a comprehensive qualitative codebook as part of a research team, and conducted qualitative content analysis on over 3,000 open ended survey responses.
