Miles was the Director of IT Operations for Enterprise Infrastructure Services within Global Information Services (GIS). Ultimately, his department was accountable for monitoring CA’s production infrastructure as well as backup/vaulting of critical data to support the global IT infrastructure services at Computer Associates. He then moved into a systems administrator role for the Unix/Linux environment. Miles then came back to Operations where he began the on-going transformation of the CA’s datacenter into an industry model. Miles played a driving role in transforming CA’s Global Command Center into a highly automated monitoring model and leveraged CA’s Unicenter NSM tool to design and support the internal IT production infrastructure.
