• Co-founded a biomedical engineering design venture in conjunction with JHU Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to develop a device for plastic surgeons that will increase the clinical efficacy of rhinoplasty procedures and reduce revision rates• Prototyped preliminary designs, presented at business competitions, and shadowed a rhinoplasty• Filed a provisional patent for our invention and co-authored a research paper which is under review for publication in the Journal of Medical Devices

Evaluation of Various Sensing Modalities for Accurate Measurement of Neck Flexion Angle during Ear Surgery· Measured the neck angle of ENT surgeons during real and simulated procedures using inertial measurement units, EM tracking, and a linear regression model· Processed IMU data to obtain relevant statistics comparing surgeon ergonomics during different types of surgery (microscopic, endoscopic, and traditional)· Aimed for findings to contribute to better understanding of surgical economics in order to prevent musculoskeletal injury in surgeons and promote long-term health

· Interned in the Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure Division with the Research and Technology team· Aided in the development of next generation pacemaker technology for patients with abnormal and slow heart rates · Presented key research findings and suggestions for future development to R&D executives at the end of the 10 week program

• Cofounded a biomedical engineering venture known as Kardia Health• Partnered with a team of five undergraduates, the JHU Heart and Vascular Institute, and the Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design• Aim to improve efficiency during transcatheter edge-to-edge repair by taking advantage of hemodynamic simulation and image analysis to reduce operation time and risk of surgical complications
