Working for over three years at Mastercard has helped me grow tremendously as an engineer, trusted peer, and individual. I've been lucky enough to work with the fantastic people in ESS, and have watched it grow from the small department it once was to the large, thriving organization it is today. Projects I worked on in ESS primarily include The Fraud Center and Stand In. I contributed to the frontend, backend, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring. The primary technologies I gained experience in were Angular, Java, Jenkins, and Splunk. In November of 2018, I transitioned to the CIA team in Operations as an automation engineer. Porting over development skills with an emphasis on best practices provides benefits for any team. Growth and adaptation is my primary focus. Moving from working on external customer-facing web applications to internal support tools is a huge change, but not a challenge that I embrace.
