I am a researcher and program evaluator with a passion for ensuring equal access to the justice system for everyone. I believe our justice system should be equitable, accountable, accessible, transparent, and effective, and I strive to use research, statistics, and business intelligence tools to bring us closer to each of these goals with every project I undertake. While earning my Ph.D. in criminal justice, I received training in the use of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research, as well as data analytics. I have used these skills to conduct process evaluations, outcome evaluations, formative/developmental evaluations, and needs assessments in Alabama, Colorado, Kentucky, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia in the judicial and corrections sectors.I have also provided technical assistance on the development and implementation of court programs and policies, training practices, and the communication of evidence-based practices to stakeholder audiences. The results of my evaluation services have been presented in civil court as part of written depositions, used to modify training materials, recruitment practices, probation services, court rules, key performance indicators (KPIs) for court personnel, legislative funding appropriations, treatment activities, and program standards, and I have validated risk assessment (pretrial and post conviction) instruments and responsivity tools across race, gender, and offense type for several state departments of correction. My peer-reviewed research has appeared in top criminal justice journals, and I am on the editorial board for Youth Violence and Juvenile Justice. A repository of my journal articles and verified peer reviews is available via my ORCID profile below:https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6836-4869
