My second greatest achievement was negotiating an extra 92 contracts (‘Opaque’ and ‘Early Bird’) in total; which accounts for each of their 46 hotels in the chain. My main objectives were to maximize the profitability of the portfolio by taking proactive commercial actions towards the improvement of the competitiveness of our rates and availability in the market. Revision of the statistics growth and monitoring sales forecast per hotel performance analysis in order to identify potential improvements. Negotiation of rates and offers to maximize the performance of the portfolio. Assisting hotels resolving day-to-day questions related to invoicing, reservations, and other operational tasks. Optimizing rates by analyzing competitor data to secure the best market deals. Monitoring the quality and accuracy of the hotel descriptions and contentsand training them on our supplier website.

My position at this job was being in charge of the bar in a private suite within the 'Newcastle United Football Club' grounds; this suite was specifically for important guests within the company, as it was called 'Director's guests'. I often was solely in charge of the bar which required me to do multiple jobs at once: stock checking/refilling, taking orders, cleaning glasses. However my most important role was cashing up at the end of a shift - given that I dealt with many customers during the shift, it also meant I dealt with large quantities of money showing their trust for me. During the festive period, Sodexo would hold functions which would deal with anywhere between 200-400 people at one time. This was an exceptionally busy period and required me to work long hours - 14 or 15 hour shifts.
