I have focused my professional and academic work on theatre for over a decade, with all aspects of work and play being part of my development to gain an understanding of the experience of making and attending performance; from an audience perspective, through to developing skills in teaching, administration, marketing, producing, clowning, workshopping, technical and creative aspects. My approach is inclusive; caring but direct when needed, open to ideas and offers, and I give high priority to clear communication. I am tenacious, goal-focused, have high energy and a positive work ethic. I give strong emphasis to respect and innovative approaches and inclusive practices within and outside of theatre. Over the last several years, one of my focuses has been working with disabled and non-disabled artists, and more recently I’d dived into eco-theatre; with special attention to creating works that are made of found materials. In 2016 I formed independent theatre company Wielding Theatre – a company that has a strong emphasis on collaboration and inclusiveness within the working process. In addition to artists within the theatre world, Wielding Theatre has worked jointly with DJ’s, spoken word poets, visual artists and fashion designers.
