Contracted to ACWA Power a Saudi Arabian owned Water Desalination and Solar Power Company.Assigned to the Solar Powered Power Plant Project, Noor3 in Ouarzazate, Morocco.Plant is constructed following USA Codes ASME, API, NBIC, NEC, AWS, ANST, BOCA and NCC.Contracted to replace a previous Manager that left the project. My knowledge of the USA Codes was critical in the progress to completion of this plant. Upon arrival the plant is over 365 Days past completion date. Specifically chosen by the Chairman and Owner and Project Director for this position and project. Took possession of the Quality Department and performed a reorganization of the different areas of concern. Met with the EPC Contractors which are Sener from Spain and Sepco III from China. Major issues upon arrival was the number of NCR’s and Deviations presently in place, with no removal.Took control of this issue and began to have my team perform walkdowns with the contractors to reduce the numbers. Performed background studies to see the issues of the past as this plant was moving into it’s 3rd year. Setup new work requirements in conjunction with USA Codes.Presently plant in final commissioning process.Document and Quality Dossier’s presently in review for final handover of the plant.Attending all required Top Management Meetings. Set-up all required Quality Meetings with Contractors to ensure USA Codes are being followed.Created new relationship with the EPC to assist in plant completion and handover.
