The Product Technical Specialist sees the world thru the lens of a customer, the machine operator and Haas Automation. This uniquely broad perspective makes the Product Technical Specialist invaluable in product development for Haas, helping Haas make products that are both profitable for the company, desirable and practical for our customers and easy for our distributor network to sell and service. The daily duties are as follows: 1) Disseminate product information throughout the dealer network. It is vital that the Product Technical Specialist present information efficiently, in a way that the salesman in the field knows it exists understands it and can find it again for future use. 2) Provide individual distributor instruction where necessary. 3) Help engineering identify new or expanding markets where we can fit new products. 4) Help engineering design products with suitable features for the intended customer base. 5) Help Engineering develop and enhance existing products as the market moves. 6) Price the machine appropriately for the market. 7) Manage machine and option pricing in ERP system and within marketing.

The Haas Applications Engineer works with the service department to provide our customers the highest quality customer service possible, is an expert in Haas Products and knows options and features of Haas lathes, mills, specials, rotaries and 5-axis machines. Daily duties performed are as follows: 1) Provides excellent technical support to our dealers and customers. 2) Performs all tasks related to setting up a job on a lathe or mill from conception to a completely flawless machine demo including tooling, fixture design, workholding and CNC programming. 3) Understands 5-axis machining proficiently as well as multiple axis lathe programming including live tooling / C-axis, etc. 6) Has the ability to program advanced control functions such as Macros using excellent logic when programming. 7) Diagnoses complex programming, software and mechanical flaws on customer’s equipment. 8) Haas excellent customer relations and represents the company in the utmost professional manner.
