I assist the Executive Director and department directors with employee benefits reconciliation and audits. I analyze and compile detailed and confidential employee data for 10 departments with 150 employees; identify issues and appropriate solutions; effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities; and navigate relationships with directors and employees with sensitivity to private information. I also support the needs of this multi-cultural/multi-ethnic organization by helping with other tasks as assigned.

As part of a team, I collected data from over 200 streams and rivers throughout King County. This data is used to track regional trends in water quality and help us understand the impacts of restoration. I worked outdoors in a range of challenging conditions, problem-solved technical and logistical issues on a daily basis, and entered data using ArcGIS. I collaborated sampling efforts with colleagues and supervisors, scheduled appointments regularly, fostered relationships with property-owners, tribes, and other government entities regarding field sampling, and assisted with training fellow team members on data collection.

I corresponded with students and faculty with regard to courses, calendar reservations, and student information, and I answered questions in person or over the phone at the front desk. I maintained the student blog, organized student files, aided with events (e.g., graduation), and designed posters. I also produced a weekly online newsletter on professional opportunities for undergraduate students and assisted student advisors with various tasks as needed.

I collected benthic macroinvertebrate and habitat data at 30 stream sites throughout King County to monitor water quality trends for the benthic macroinvertebrate monitoring program, and I performed regular water quality sample collection at 2 lake sites in South Seattle. I also maintained and prepared sampling equipment daily, worked collaboratively in teams and with other KC divisions, entered data into the LIMS database, and troubleshooted problems in the field.

I researched and wrote a 30-page qualitative report for King County's Strategic Climate Action Plan (SCAP) that evaluated the interaction between food, energy, and water in the context of climate change and identified opportunities to enhance sustainability and resiliency. I delivered a presentation of my findings to section managers and other County employees. I interviewed and collaborated with different King County departments, local community organizations, and professors for research. I also assisted with field work and data collection, including stream sampling at 12 WRIA 7 sites, benthic macroinvertebrate sampling, and habitat data collection.

I wrote a report on sustainable water use in the Bear-Creek Basin for King County's Watershed-Scale Stormwater Plan. This included determining the scope of the project, as well as collaborating with County employees.I conducted informational interviews with King County employees across different departments, attended section meetings and other project meetings, and job shadowed in the field. I produced and presented a cumulative, narrative project report for project leads and County employees.

I walked dogs and pet sat various types of animals for apartment residents in Downtown Seattle. Duties included walking, basic housekeeping, and feeding. I also managed accounts recievable, marketing, and client-relations.
