Michelle grew Mimi & Lu from a single sale to a co-worker in Cirque Du Soleil's wardrobe department, to a brand that has been sold to retailers worldwide, spotted in various media outlets such as People Magazine, Days of our Lives and The Zoe Report, and doing so without formal experience or training in jewelry-making, business, fashion or retail. Mimi & Lu is now in its 16th year of business and Michelle can confidently say she has worn every hat- marketing, sales, designer, maker, HR, wholesaler, customer service, design, catalog creation, employer, purchaser, office manager, technical help desk- you name it. As Mimi & Lu continues to serve their retail and wholesale clients, Michelle is now sharing her knowledge gained from her extensive professional experience with other entrepreneurs though her business consulting platform, Dream Driven.

Michelle provides systems development, SOPs, design and other freelance needs for Amanda Crowell Companies on an as needed basis. She has developed a social media SOP for the company to keep outreach consistent, accurate and ready. She also designed various marketing materials for the company and provided assistance transferring their online courses to new software.

Michelle's freelance work includes providing Business Management to Language Matters- a company that provides Bilingual Education workshops, professional development and collaboratives for schools across the country. Upon hire, Michelle evaluated the processes and created systems and standard operating procedures for the business. She continues to streamline the process and manages all of Language Matter's moving parts by prioritizing tasks, keeping others on task and jumping into any area of the business that needs support- from social media design, to website updates to catalog creation to personnel needs.

My passion to share advice with other entrepreneurs who wish to learn from her experiences instigated my vision for DREAM | DRIVEN which was to provide a space for fellow business owners to do the same. It is my belief that dreams do not develop without drive and collectively we can steer each other in the right direction. In 2018, Dream Driven met monthly and is a community of over 400, primarily female, small business owners. The events were comprised of smaller groups of 30-50 depending on the venue, and had three-hour, breakout roundtable discussions with the purpose of problem solving in our ventures.Producing each event from sourcing donated venues, food, coffee, gift bag swag and staff to managing ticket sales, strategic seating charts and all day-of event needs, Dream Driven was a passion project turned side project success.

Dresser in Wardrobe department of Cirque Du Soliel's show, Varekaii. Worked as one of two wardrobe dressers that the show picks up in each city they travel to. Assisted performers with costumes, quick changes and costume maintenance.
