Current· Analyze market/technology trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions. (Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and market suppliers).· Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers, and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.· Purchase goods, materials, components, or services (foreign and local) in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.· Arrange transport of goods & payment processing and track orders to ensure timely delivery.· Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues.· Build professional relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing, terms & conditions.· Process requisitions and update management on the status of orders through an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders.· Monitor inventory levels to act proactively towards any possible shortage.· Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunities to the organization.· Provide analysis on costs, new and existing, and review cost reduction activities.· Continuous monitoring of supplier performance to enable proper evaluation of suppliers.· Monitoring the company's demand for products to avoid supply shortages.
