I managed a very successful high-volume full-cycle recruiting desk at General Employment, from cold call sales through technology Q&A with potential clients to interviewing, screening, coaching, and placing engineering candidates. I placed key technology players in such industry giants as Hitachi, Sun Microsystems, Varian, HP, Dell, Veritas, and others. I specialized in Engineering including hardware, mechanical, and software professionals as well as field service engineers, IT and network engineers, chemists, chemical engineers, production and materials professionals. For this busy video game start-up that produced games based on the Journey Rock Band, I enjoyed recruitment as well as HR generalist and Facilities Management duties. I learned "the ropes" from an extremely professional Human Resources Manager.
